Assessment
The first step in correcting any problem is properly assessing the situation. EIS partners have plentiful experience in conducting chemical and biological assessments. Assessment may include long-term water quality monitoring through chemical analysis, collection and classification of macroinvertebrates and fishes, as well as vegetative analysis. Assessments will be tailored to fit the needs of the given situation, allowing for a cost-controlled project.

Design
Once a problem has been fully assessed, its solution must be carefully designed. EIS partners come from a diverse set of backgrounds. It is the integration of these various areas of expertise that allows EIS to bring you innovative solutions to your environmental concerns. Members use cutting-edge techniques to provide you with the best options in environmental mitigation and remediation without overlooking proven methods.
Permitting
Designs require implementation to be effective, and implementation generally requires regulatory approval. EIS will take the responsibility for obtaining the environmental permits / permit waivers that are required to implement your project. Team members have formed successful working relationships with government regulatory agencies and are skilled in designing mitigations that are environmentally responsible and, therefore, attractive to regulators.

Construction
Once the permits have been obtained, it is time to begin construction. Having a company that is familiar with the intricacies of the specialized requirements of wetland and passive treatment construction is important to the long-term success of your project. EIS brings you this advantage, as its members have constructed numerous wetlands and passive treatment systems over the years.

Public Relations
Mitigation projects are frequently seen in a negative light by community members who do not fully understand what is being done. This opens the way for EIS to inform the public of the true worth of mitigation projects - allowing the continued advancement of society in an ecologically sound manner. Passive treatment systems are aesthetically pleasing, environmentally positive ways of reducing the contaminate loading of our waters. EIS members frequently take the opportunity to inform the public of the importance of passive treatment through project tours, news media, and public meetings.
Monitoring and Retrofitting
The science of passive treatment is still relatively new and evolving steadily. EIS members stay current with, and frequently participate in, the advancement of passive treatment technology. We will monitor the systems we design and install to ensure their performance. Some older systems would benefit from retrofitting with more current treatment components. EIS will assess your current systems, give suggestions on what could / should be updated, and perform any changes you approve.
Performance Guarantees
As passive treatment systems are frequently installed to satisfy regulatory requirements, their performance, or lack there-of, is extremely important. With enough background information on a problem, EIS members can guarantee the performance of the system they design and construct to correct it.
